BATFE suffers major loss...
...of forms 4473.
Notice sent to FFL Holders. Gee, I guess gun sales really ARE up, or in the case of BATFE's own words "unprecedented." |
Re: BATFE suffers major loss...
I am glad to see the increase in demand. This has to be sending a large message to washington.

Re: BATFE suffers major loss...
Washington must be scratching their heads. Instead of buying worthless crap they want us to buy, we are stock piling weapons, ammo, and food.
Someone's getting nervous, who has the itchy trigger finger? :) |

Now get you ass out there, and deplete the ammo supply some more.
If it becomes a shortage, it might make the news? Protesting with your wallet this way, sends a clear message. |

I also hereby direct the Secretary of the Treasury to order the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to indefinitely suspend processing of sales or transfer documents in compliance with my order." Citizens, you have less than 10 days... |
Re: BATFE suffers major loss...
So, where are VICTOR and FLYIN saying this is a 'hype' and 'fear mongering' on the part of the manufacturer's NOW?
What, nothing to say there guys about the ATF verifying what everyone here has been saying? Some of us for months? |
Re: BATFE suffers major loss...
You need to relax and check the attitude. Your not the only one in the USAR that has been "stocking up" for years in anticipation of AWB 2.0. Believe me....you have no idea the amount and levels some people are putting some things away for a "rainy day"
Go back and read my posts. I said that while I do not doubt AWB 2.0 is going to try and be rammed on the people.....the door to door goon searches for unregistered ammo is not going to happen without some type of issues. Take a min. and go back to the posts I made in the threads over the last couple days before you spout off thinking you know what I said or didn't say. I never once said anything about hype or fear mongering. |

I never said it was hype & fear on the manufaturers part ( yes pun intended) What I said was a rise in business is no cause to rape the customer. I never said sales were down. Relax quit running down the street yelling is it not obvious many have the message? Lastly do you see anything there that reads do not allow anything? Are they stopping the FFL from selling? No Limiting his sales? No again So still no reason to raise prices IMHO PS: I read the forums no need to PM me when you post. You seem to need attention please seek it elsewhere |

No weapon you wheel in battle guarantees victory against usres and usurpers without the shield of truth.

Re: BATFE suffers major loss...
Typical gooberment action.
They are running short of forms. A private citizen or business would run down to Kinkos and have some printed so they could ship them out. On the other hand the gooberment takes the time to compose a letter, print out 50,000 copies, stuff 50,000 envelopes, mail out 50,000 letters at a cost of $100,000 and still the dealers have no forms. No wonder this place is going down the toilet. |

Hmm, you don't say that the manufacturers are promoting hype or fear. You do admit and continue to say that they are 'raping' their customers. UH, lets see. That means the manufacturers and gun sellers are FORCING their customers to do something they don't WANT to do. That is not ONLY incorrect, but also a LIE. I don't drink - you seem to be projecting YOUR NEEDS onto me. And yeah, YOU DO NEED TO BE MADE AWARE OF THIS. Let's put it to you this way. If congress was saying they were getting ready to pass laws making ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ILLEGAL, you would be all over it. WHY? Because it IS your livlihood. If it was ILLEGAL to build certain types of houses, only because of the way they look, not because they are not built correctly or not because they are unsafe, but JUST BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE, YOU WOULD BE UP IN ARMS. Get a grip. Plus I find it interesting that because 'YOU'VE GOT YOURS' you now think that everyone ELSE is stupid for doing what you did over the past several years. EVEN IF IT COSTS THEM MORE MONEY. UH, HELLO. It's their money. NOT YOURS. They are not being FORCED to buy anything. As a matter of fact, they are scouring gun shops, gun shows, etc to find exactly what they want, REGARDLESS the cost. You sure didn't mind spending $850 for an AR15 that could have been purchased for much less ten plus years ago. Maybe as much as half, if it was built by the person you bought it from. I know for a fact a buddy of mine built several of his AR's back in 1997/1998 when we were in gunsmithing school for around $350 each, but he did all the work - even got an 'A' for the work. That's less than half what you paid. So did the person you bought the AR from "RAPE" you. Hell, I kinda doubt it. Could YOU have had one much cheaper ten years ago? YOU BETCHA. Especially if you built it yourself. But you don't see that and probably never will. That's exactly the same situation that those folks who are spending their hard earned money to purchase their first (or 100th) firearm are doing. Paying what ever they felt it was worth to get what they wanted. Again, NO ONE is holding a 'gun to their head' to purchase any firearm, ammo or accesories (NO PUN INTENDED), which seems to be your thesis. And ten years from now, these prices will look really low, if firearms are still legal at all, which none of us know. That's exactly 180 degrees from what you are claiming now and have been claiming all along. So excuse me, but yeah, YOU DO NEED TO BE MADE AWARE. Either that or you are deliberately putting out false information on purpose, which I would hope that is NOT the case. |

We can agree to disagree. I do not think you even read my posts by what you say here. I specifically showed you what I bought. CMMG New model number & all still you go off on a tangent like this. Yes many can build cheap so can I. This was a good deal period. As for ten years ago? Yeah 12 years ago I bought a Colt DELTA HBAR guess what? It was 1 grand You have a good day ploink |
Re: BATFE suffers major loss...
Hmm, flying. Your response is not a surprise.
I'll give you one other little tidbit. Lets say nothing happens. Let's say Obama and the Dems realize that if they attempt the AWBII, they will be out of office in two years for Congresscritters and Obama will end up being a one term president. THEN WHAT HAPPENS TO THE FIREARMS INDUSTRY? Probably pretty much the same thing that happened to the COMPUTER INDUSTRY right after Y2K when Y2k turned out to be a fizzle instead of a boom. Do you KNOW what happened to the computer industry from 2000/2003? They almost went out of business. Why? Because most business' upgraded their computers for Y2K and then guess what? They didn't need new ones for YEARS. The same holds true for the firearms industry. IF NOTHING HAPPENS, then all us firearms owners won't need a whole heck of a lot from them BECAUSE we all stocked up. Some of us heavier than others. But firearms and ammo sales will fall off (as will their prices) and a LOT of retailers will fail. Numerous manufacturers who had orders for thousands of firearms will find those orders cancelled or not paid for. So, if you want to dump on me, so be it. But yeah, I DID read what you said. I even quoted you WITHOUT modification or editing any of your words, even where you suggest I drink. Seems to me you need some help. Start here. It's called 'Raging Against Self Defense'. It's written by a psychiatrist. Perhaps this will help you with your problem. Probably not, because you seem to think denial is a river in Egypt. http://www.vcdl.org/new/raging.htm |
